2SLGBTQIA+ Summit

MRPA’s 2SLGBTQIA+ Summit is a one day event designed for recreation and parks administrators, human resource staff and programmers who seek to understand the unique considerations and barriers to both employment and program participation in the 2SLGBTQIA+ population.

Attendees will follow two separate tracks; 101 Track for basic knowledge and beginning steps and 201 for those who already have begun this inclusion effort.

Front-facing staff will learn how to provide respectful, culturally competent programs by developing skills to establish rapport, recognize barriers, offer solutions and educate the general public. There will be multiple focal points on topics such as internal and external policies and how to have an inclusive department.

• Refunds are not available for this event.
• Continental breakfast and lunch provided (select lunch option at the time of registration)
• $95 Full registration price
• Early Bird Rate: MRPA members ($75) / Non-members ($85)
• Early Bird Registration has been extended to August 13th! 
• All applicable sessions are approved for CEUs.
