Opening Keynote: KJ Shah the Co-Founder & COO of Kaizen Labs, a parks & recreation innovation and technology software used by millions of residents across the country. KJ has extensive experience in finance, technology and operations at innovative technology companies. An avid parks and recreation supporter, KJ saw an opportunity to bring beautiful technology solutions to the industry and is excited to help lead the passionate team at Kaizen.
Session 1: AI Essentials for Everyone – Jared Moore, President & Co-Founder, Athletify, Inc.
Jared Moore is a serial entrepreneur with over two decades of experience building businesses from concept to successful exit. He has started over a dozen companies with a 90 percent success rate. His last company was an eight-figure exit and he is currently the President and co-founder of Athletify. In his younger years he was one of the best freefall photographers in the country. In his college years he even dabbled in entertainment and made several appearances on national television. He received his undergraduate degree in business from Utah Valley University where he was also a collegiate athlete. In his spare time, Jared enjoys coaching his five children in multiple sports and surfing.
Session 2: Esports - Tarrin Morgan II, M.A., M.A.S., Esports Specialist
Tarrin Morgan II is a dynamic educator, esports innovator, and mental health advocate dedicated to empowering underserved communities through education and technology. He is the founder of REAL digitizED, an organization that uses esports and gaming as a gateway to STEAM fields while also serving as a media production house specializing in branding, live streaming, and video production.
Through partnerships with Annapolis Recreation & Parks and Baltimore Recreation & Parks, Tarrin has designed and led innovative youth programs that merge competitive gaming with digital literacy, content creation, and workforce readiness. His work includes running tournaments, delivering hands-on technology workshops, and creating career exploration opportunities that connect gaming to high-demand industries. These initiatives have expanded access to tech-based learning while building safe, engaging community spaces for youth.
At Morgan State University, Tarrin serves as Director of Marketing & Digital Engagement and Founding Esports Director, where he introduced esports during the pandemic and grew the program into a national model with 260+ members, 13 championships, and more than $500,000 raised in scholarships and donations. He also developed the university’s first esports courses, further embedding gaming as an academic pathway.
Tarrin holds two master’s degrees in Higher Education Administration (Morgan State) and Administrative Science (Fairleigh Dickinson University) and a bachelor’s in Communication (William Paterson University). A proud member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc., Tarrin continues to champion innovation in education, mental health advocacy, and the power of esports to transform communities.
Session 3: Take Control of Your Online Presence to Boost Community Participation and Engagement – Dr. James Moore, CEO & Co-Founder, Athletify, Inc.
James Moore has spent most of his career living in Asia and working in the retail, consulting, and government sectors, where he set up four wholly foreign owned enterprises and was a former Senior Government Consultant at the Entrepreneurship and Innovation Bureau in Hangzhou, China. He was the first American to hold such a position. He is currently a co-founder of Athletify and the We Believe App. He also sits on the board of a global consulting firm in Salt Lake City and owns a real estate company. He holds a BA in Chinese from Brigham Young University, a Ph.D. from Zhejiang University in Entrepreneurship Management, and an MPA from Harvard. James and his wife are the proud parents of five children. He is a sports enthusiast and particularly loves coaching his children..
