Therapeutic Recreation Professional Learning Community (PLC)

Join us for a Professional Learning Community (PLC) designed for Therapeutic Recreation professionals, while welcoming anyone interested in promoting inclusion and accessibility in recreation programs, parks, and facilities.

Connect with peers from across Maryland to discuss current trends, share best practices, compare policies and procedures, and collaborate on creative solutions to the challenges facing individuals with disabilities. Whether you're looking to exchange ideas, gain practical insights, or expand your professional network, this PLC offers a valuable opportunity to learn from one another in an interactive, discussion-based environment.

Discussion Topics

Based on participant survey feedback, this session will focus on:

• Evaluation techniques and measuring program success
• Personal care considerations (including medication administration, seizures, diabetes management, toileting, and diapering)
• Policies and procedures
• Additional "hot topics" identified by participants
